In the 19th century, Zarautz became the quintessential summer resort of the upper bourgeoisie. Kings and representatives of the high nobility saw on this beach, the largest on the Cantabrian Coast, the perfect place to rest and socialize, as its beautiful palaces attest.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, Zarautz is a municipality full of cultural and leisure offers. Este espacio natural se convirti\u00f3 en una obra art\u00edstica en la d\u00e9cada de los a\u00f1os 80, surgida de la mente y de las manos del pintor y escultor Agust\u00edn Ibarrola y se considera uno de los m\u00e1ximos exponentes de la corriente art\u00edstica conocida como Land Art.<\/p>\n

Los \u00e1rboles de este bosque se encuentran decorados con diferentes y coloridas figuras geom\u00e9tricas, humanas<\/p>\n

y animales, inspiradas en la transcendencia espiritual que emana de la cercana Cueva de Santima\u00f1e; un lugar repleto de pinturas rupestres, considerado un aut\u00e9ntico santuario prehist\u00f3rico.<\/p>\n

Visitar las laderas de el valle del R\u00edo Oma, lugar donde se encuentra el conjunto art\u00edstico, es una visita irrenunciable para los visitantes que se hospedan en la zona.
